how did anisence start?
our story
Our journey began with Rin, our visionary CEO, whose passion for fragrance and a once in a lifetime trip to Japan developed into the creation of ANISENCE.
Rin started as an assistant perfume stylist at a bespoke perfume company, also working at the head office of that company.
In July 2023, Rin embarked on a mission to bring a piece of Japan back home to turn into a business. Rin's mother, who also took all the photography for ANISENCE, suggested out of all the ideas, the best one was definitely the anime inspired fragrances idea. This idea resonated deeply and ANISENCE was born.
Despite numerous challenges, including many design fails and finding the right suppliers for both fragrances and packaging, the fragrance company Rin works at helped tremendously with finding the fragrance suppliers and the ANISENCE team, including his amazing parents, are the reason ANISENCE developed the way it did today.

At ANISENCE, we bring your favorite anime characters to life through the power of fragrance. Our dedicated team of anime and fragrance experts works tirelessly to craft unique scents that capture the souls of the anime characters into our luxurious bottles.
We start by exploring the anime and its characters in depth to understand their story and personality as carefully as possible, with lots of research on hand.
We meticulously select perfume notes, categorised into top, middle, and base notes, to match each character's personality.
Each note carries its own symbolism and can evoke specific emotions, aiming to resonate with the character's emotional journey and their inner cores.
